Paques

Paques is a reimplementation of PacMan/Snapper for 32-bit machines. It's a simple port that sticks to the original game with no thrills, other than than some pleasant high-resolution graphics. The main game character is a bit bland, but the ghosts are nicely drawn.

If you're not very good at PacMan then you'll love Paques, but anyone else will soon discover that it's home to the dumbest ghosts in maze-game history! I spent so long playing the game that without having lost a life by level 12 I got bored and gave up. These ghosts are so stupid they come towards you whilst edible and run away from you when chasing you. Oh dear.

There's a desktop front-end with a high score table and a couple of sound options, none of which do anything about the appallingly annoying sound effect played when you eat a power pill!

Still, it looks quite nice and it's a very quick download...
